    • -Noticed clutch was slipping on test drive. Recommending to address this issue before looking deeper into the check engine light.
    • -Scanned vehicle. -Found codes related to misfires and secondary air. -May be related to aftermarket exhaust and intake. -Recommending to get car properly tuned for aftermarket parts or reverting to stock before proceeding with diagnosis.

    • -Car runs for 10 minutes then after sitting for two minutes after shutdown it struggles to start. -Found rough running and almost stopped running. -Raw fuel was smelled out the exhaust. -Suspect fuel injectors are leaking down and flooding cylinders. -Recommending replacing all four fuel injectors and checking for carbon buildup while intake manifold is off.

Gap is at .049 and spec is .031. -Spark plugs are worn out. -No current misfire happening. -Recommending replacing spark plugs then rechecking. -Customer declined repairs at this time. -Would like to clear codes and then bring vehicle back.

    • -Found brake fluid contaminated. Recommending a brake fluid flush. -Splash shield missing.
    • -No belt noise on arrival. Would like to let the car sit for a bit and try again on a cold start.
    • -Scanned car. -Air bag fault is for driver airbag igniter. -Attempted to clear codes with no success. -Noticed horn and buttons on steering wheel are inoperable. -Suspect possible clock spring issue. Need some additional time to apart steering wheel and inspect clock spring. -Upon removal of airbag, no damage was found to wires or electrical connections. -Found an open recall for a damaged clock spring. Symptoms are related to a damaged clock spring that should be covered under an extended warranty through Volkswagen. -Recommending taking vehicle to dealer to warrant parts and labor.
