- -Found brake fluid contaminated. Recommending a brake fluid flush. -Splash shield missing.
- -No belt noise on arrival. Would like to let the car sit for a bit and try again on a cold start.
- -Scanned car. -Air bag fault is for driver airbag igniter. -Attempted to clear codes with no success. -Noticed horn and buttons on steering wheel are inoperable. -Suspect possible clock spring issue. Need some additional time to apart steering wheel and inspect clock spring. -Upon removal of airbag, no damage was found to wires or electrical connections. -Found an open recall for a damaged clock spring. Symptoms are related to a damaged clock spring that should be covered under an extended warranty through Volkswagen. -Recommending taking vehicle to dealer to warrant parts and labor.
