Mileage25,025Service Date6/22/2026Services Performed- The technician confirmed the customer's concern that the vehicle wouldn't start. After connecting a battery jump box, the vehicle started, allowing the technician to conduct tests. Multiple fault codes were found in the computer. The technician attempted to charge the battery, but it wouldn't hold a charge. Therefore, the recommendation is to replace the battery to proceed with proper diagnostics. The technician successfully replaced and re-registered the battery, allowing for comprehensive diagnostics on the starting system. The charging system and alternator were found to be functioning properly. All stored codes in the DME were cleared, and the technician re calibrated the moonroof, which had lost its calibration. After a road test, the technician confirmed that everything was operating within specifications. However, the vehicle is due for an oil change, and a brake fluid flush is also approaching. The technician recommends performing both services, as the vehicle may require additional maintenance based on its history and mileage.

Gained access to battery, tested battery as bad at this time. Checked for battery replacement registry, battery has never been replaced according to registry and looks original to car. Parasitic draw testing requires good battery performance to perform. Scanned for faults, recovered numerous undervoltage codes throughout vehicle systems. Rec replace battery to continue testing as needed. After battery replacement and registry, cleared codes and test drive. No codes returned at this time.

2011 BMW 335i
Mileage79,945Service Date4/13/2026Services Performed- Vehicle came into shop for CEL and SRS warnings diagnosis, noticed long cranking time when starting. Scanned for faults, recovered code 00315A fuel tank vent valve stuck open and 0093AF ACSM right active head restraint. Performed test plan for active head rest, during testing identified a wiring issue inside seat itself(high ohms reading). Will need to remove seat to check wiring for damage. During testing for fuel tank vent valve, found valve is stuck open and not sealing off tank, long crank. Rec remove passenger seat and remove parts to expose wiring up to headrest for inspection. Rec replace purge valve to continue.
