ATTEMPTED SECOND ROAD TEST AND FOUND SAME SYMPTOMS AND NO CHANGE. TECHNICIAN NOTES DIAGNOSIS WOULD BE RECOMMENDED AND USING ONLY OE/DEM BMW PARTS ONLY. (FUEL INJECTORS ALSO APPEAR NON OE, RE-MAIN.)

UPON FURTHER INSPECTION FOUND OBDII PORT INCORRECTLY POSITIONED, ALSO FOUND ELECTRICAL TAPE @ OBDII HARNESS; DOES NOT APPEAR ORIGINAL. TECHNICIAN SCANNED AND FOUND FAULTS STORED RELATED TO FUEL SYSTEMS. TECHNICIAN WORKED THROUGH TEST PLANS AND CHECKED BOTH LOW AND HIGH PRESSURE FUEL SYSTEMS. CHECKED PRIMARY AND SECONDARY IGNITION SYSTEMS; CONFIRM IGNITION COILS NOT OE/OEM (AFTER-MARKET NO-NAME) & SPARK PLUGS ARE BOSCH (OEM BRAND). TECHNICIAN FOUND FUEL RAIL READINGS ERRATIC AND AT TIMES EXTREMELY BELOW SPECS @ 7.53 BAR. TECHNICIAN CONFIRMED CURRENT PRESSURE SENSOR HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH OEM PART (BOSCH). SUSPECT CURRENT CONCERN RELATED TO AN ELECTRONIC COMMAND ISSUE FROM DME. CONFIRMED DME SOFTWARE OUTDATED AND BOTH BATTERY HEALTH / CHARGE PERCENTAGES VERY POOR (DATED 2015). TECHNICIAN RECOMMENDS TO REPLACE BATTERY (90AH AGM) AND RE-PROGRAM DME WITH LATEST ISTA (BMW) VERSION AS A NEXT STEP.

FOUND FAULT 387F-STANDBY CURRENT VIOLATION STORED AGAIN. FURTHER DIAGNOSIS WOULD BE NEEDED.
