    • ? Technician was able to scan vehicle and found no faults related to engine running condition. Technician was able to work through test plans checked fuel system pressure within inspec at 50 psi, check, secondary ignition system found cylinder one number four number five smooth running values marginal. Confirm ignition coils original and spark plugs. Incorrect type. Also found eccentric shaft sensors leaking oil into connector. technician was able to put test coil on cylinder 14 and five. Vehicle is running a little smoother. Technician does recommend replace spark plugs and coils. However, valve covered upper Tim covers are leaking oil technician also recommends doing upper timing cover without covers and both eccentric shaft sensors, as next step for vehicle to run smoother. Inspection technician did find transmission seepage pan. Also found front left inner tie rod, having too much play on vehicle. Recommend replacing inner tie rods on both sides, based on history and miles of vehicle, vehicle may be due for multiple service

Technician also notes there are some coolant residue present. Also noticed left washer nozzle is not working properly tech would need time to diagnose based on history and miles on vehicle, vehicle may be due for other services.

UPON FURTHER INSPECTION FOUND OBDII PORT INCORRECTLY POSITIONED, ALSO FOUND ELECTRICAL TAPE @ OBDII HARNESS; DOES NOT APPEAR ORIGINAL. TECHNICIAN SCANNED AND FOUND FAULTS STORED RELATED TO FUEL SYSTEMS. TECHNICIAN WORKED THROUGH TEST PLANS AND CHECKED BOTH LOW AND HIGH PRESSURE FUEL SYSTEMS. CHECKED PRIMARY AND SECONDARY IGNITION SYSTEMS; CONFIRM IGNITION COILS NOT OE/OEM (AFTER-MARKET NO-NAME) & SPARK PLUGS ARE BOSCH (OEM BRAND). TECHNICIAN FOUND FUEL RAIL READINGS ERRATIC AND AT TIMES EXTREMELY BELOW SPECS @ 7.53 BAR. TECHNICIAN CONFIRMED CURRENT PRESSURE SENSOR HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH OEM PART (BOSCH). SUSPECT CURRENT CONCERN RELATED TO AN ELECTRONIC COMMAND ISSUE FROM DME. CONFIRMED DME SOFTWARE OUTDATED AND BOTH BATTERY HEALTH / CHARGE PERCENTAGES VERY POOR (DATED 2015). TECHNICIAN RECOMMENDS TO REPLACE BATTERY (90AH AGM) AND RE-PROGRAM DME WITH LATEST ISTA (BMW) VERSION AS A NEXT STEP.
