Services Performed
- The technician confirmed that the customer's vehicle is overheating. After running tests, it was determined that the thermostat and water pump are leaking coolant, and the thermostat is malfunctioning, contributing to the overheating issue. A scan of the vehicle revealed multiple fault codes stored in the DME/ECU, including several low voltage and misfire faults. The technician recommends replacing the thermostat and water pump, followed by a recheck of the system for any additional issues and retesting of the cooling system. After successfully replacing the water pump, thermostat, and all necessary components, the technician retested the cooling system, which is now operating within specifications. All fault codes were cleared from the ECU/DME, and the check engine light is no longer illuminated. However, a brake warning light remains on due to faulty brake sensors. The technician recommends replacing the brake wire sensors to resolve this issue. Additionally, the technician noted an oil leak and that the vehicle is due for an oil service and fluid flush. The client is advised to monitor the vehicle for any further issues and consider replacing the battery.
